Assistant Minister Chong Quan Attends Opening Ceremony of the “2007 International Mobile Industry Expo”

On May 18, the “2007 International Mobile Industry Expo” was held at Binhai International Exhibition and Convention Center (BICEC) in Tianjin. Assistant Minister of Commerce Chong Quan attended the event and cut the ribbon at the opening day ceremony. Deputy Director of The Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Tianjin Municipality Wang Shuzu and other related officials accompanied Assistant Minister Chong Quan to an exhibition tour.

The International Mobile Industry Expo aims at establishing integrated software and hardware industrial chains of cell phones, while providing a high-value industrial platform for enterprises to exhibit and promote their products.

The Expo was held 4 times in a row since the year 2003. The exhibit area of the “2007 International Mobile Industry Expo” covered 20,000 square meters. More than 320 enterprises joined the expo, and the number of exhibit booths exceeded 660 in total. 12 authoritative communication servers such as China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, Germany Telecom, France Telecom, NTT DoCoMo, Korea’s KTF, Russia Telecom, along with 15 cell phone manufacturers like Motorola, Samsung, Huawei and 200 other well-known design companies and value-added servers from both home and abroad took part in the Expo.
